The Unattend software monitors that directory, and when it sees a file in there it grabs it, rasterizes it, and plots it.This is not an official translation and may contain errors and inaccurate translations.

I liked very much what I saw, starts at 4 page per minute for 24x36 plots and higher speeds available from there. Hit the printer and plot software with multiple.plt files generated from our company standard HP DJet 750c.pc2 files and this system ran through them without a single issue. Plotted them as if it was one of my Djets, only about 10 times as fast. Hit it up with a 48MB plotfile of a 36x48 raster image and it tore through it in 3 minutes from enter key to plot rolling out of plotter This would have easily taken 40 minutes on inkjet plotter. ![]() Given the starting prices though, that add-on does not seem like an extravagant cost. Questions: Those who have KIP systems - any serious hardware issues KIP America corporation is there to help and support the hardware Plot software looked good and pretty easy to teach to the rest of the userbase, not too hard to support. If you had problems with the KIP systems, was dealermanufacturer helpful So far, the KIP systems look like the winners in the large-format digital arena. Xerox seems like they are having issues with raster image processing, JDL is gone from the market and Oce is carrying a bad reputation round my parts for hardware issues and HDI driver trouble. I really liked what I saw at this demo, the dealer seems to have their act together on the support side. Any naysayers to the KIP product -- Mark Evinger MIS Manager Cowhey Gudmundson Leder, Ltd. The only thing we dont like a whole bunch has to do with the separate computer controller running NT 4.0. The plotter loses touch with the computer way to much and we have to reboot the computer a few times a week. Also when toner runs low, it needs a reboot after plugging in a fresh cartridge. We were against.plt files at first, but now would not like to go back. Heres a tip: We order rolls of 18 paper and do 50 plots for a true half-size 24x36 plot. Kip Windows Drivers From KIPBy the way, we recently downloaded the latest drivers from KIP America (a free download) and I just printed a.jpg from Corel Photo-Paint without problems. Our dealer is also pretty good on the support side. Also, we dont have the scanner option. ![]() The scanner is awsome The plotter is fast, and the toner system is much cleaner than the old dump toner in the trough system on the Calcomp Solus4. It absolutely inhales large drawings - we recently raced it against our old Solus, and the KIP spit out the (huge) drawing in about 30 seconds. The bad news: KIPs interpretation of how a print queue should work. With the KIP, you use the plot to file option, and it lands in a common directory (I think you can have up to 20 such directories).
